Because, like Russians, they have a complex about Poles.
In their eyes, a Pole is a Ukrainian, a poor oppressed peasant.
However, the truth was as follows.
Cossacks (Ukrainians) fled from the royal authorities to the distant steppes of the Wild Half. They believed that they deserved freedom above all else, and their main thoughts were attacks and robberies.
